Your privacy

Lumière makes NFC memory cards that open a private page of your photos, music and words. We only collect what we need to make and deliver your card, and we never sell your information.
What we collect
When you order: your name, email address, phone number, shipping address and the name of the person the card is for. Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see or store your card details.
Your memory page: the names, photos, videos, letter, song links and dates you add, and an optional password (stored only in scrambled, hashed form).
Your welcome code: if you ask for the A$5 code, your email address, the code and when you signed up.
Reviews: if you leave a review, the name, suburb or city, rating, text and optional photo you give us.
Technical: your IP address is used briefly to block abuse (for example too many sign-ups) and deleted within two days.
How we use it
To make, link and ship your card; to email you your private link, reminders to finish your page and shipping updates; and to answer your questions.
Marketing emails (such as your welcome code) are only sent if you asked for them. Every one includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing never affects emails about an order you placed.
Reviews only appear on our website after we approve them, with the name and city you chose.
Your memory page
Your page opens from your card's unique, hard-to-guess link and is hidden from search engines. Anyone with the card or its link can view a published page, so add a password if you want extra privacy. Your private edit link lets anyone who has it change the page, so please don't share it.
Who helps us
We use trusted services to run Lumière, and they only process your information to provide their service to us:
- Stripe (payments and discount codes)
- Supabase (our database and photo storage, hosted in Sydney)
- Vercel (website hosting)
- Resend (sending our emails)
- Google (measuring how our ads perform, see Cookies below)
Some of these providers may store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States.
Keeping, accessing and deleting your information
We keep order information for as long as needed for your order and our legal and tax records. You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or to have your memory page removed, by emailing info@lumierecard.com.
If you're not happy with how we handled a privacy concern, tell us first and we'll do our best to fix it. You can also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
