Days Together Calculator

Enter the day you got together to see how long it's been, in days, weeks, months and hours, and when your next milestones fall.

Why couples count the days

Counting days sounds like a small thing, but it turns time into something you can celebrate. A first anniversary only comes once a year. Milestones like 100 days, 500 days and 1,000 days give you more reasons to stop and notice how far you've come, especially early in a relationship or when you're living apart.

Milestones worth marking

  • 100 days: a little over three months. Often the point where things start to feel serious.
  • 500 days: around a year and four months. A nice excuse for a date night.
  • 1,000 days: a bit under two years and nine months. A real milestone, and a lovely moment for a letter or a small gift.
  • 2,000 days: about five and a half years. Worth a proper celebration.

Questions

How is the number of days counted?

We count full calendar days from the date you enter to today. The day you got together is day zero, so on the following day you've been together for one day.

Why are the hours approximate?

The hours are counted from midnight on the day you got together, using your device's time zone. If you know the exact moment, the real number will be a few hours either way.

What happens if we got together on 29 February?

In years without a 29 February, we show your anniversary on 28 February. Day milestones such as 1,000 days aren't affected.

Is my date saved anywhere?

No. The calculation happens entirely in your browser. Nothing you type is stored or sent to us.

What should we do for our 1,000 days?

Anything that looks back on your story works well: a letter, a photo book, recreating your first date, or a weekend away. Our gift guides have plenty of ideas.
